Daily Fantasy 3 Stars 11/28/2009

11/29/2009
Ottawa Senators v New Jersey Devils

In this section, I break down the top three fantasy hockey performers every night and cite why I chose them in particular. In addition, I will track the amount of times the players have received this honor and tally them at the end of the season. For the sake of clarity, I will be using Yahoo! standard categories (Forwards – G,A,+/-, PP, PIM, SOG; Goalies – W, GAA, SV%, SHO)

THIRD STAR:  Brian Rolston, New Jersey Devils, (0-0-1) -One of two Devils to make this list, the 36-year-old turned in a solid effort last night scoring two goals and adding two assists (2 on the powerplay).  Playing with Patrik Elias has paid dividends for the former first rounder as he now has four goals in his last four games.  The left wing added a plus three and seven shots on goal making him a contributor in five of six offensive categories.

SECOND STAR: Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins (0-1-0) –Scoring three  and adding two assists puts Sid in this spot.  Finishing an 8-3 rout over the Rangers with five points, including one on the powerplay, the Stanley Cup Champion added five shots on goal to go along with a plus four rating.  All impressive numbers but not enough to propel the Kid into a first star rating.
