01/03/2010
Colorado Avalanche v Ottawa Senators

Please remember to keep refreshing this page or follow me on Twitter for the fastest updates. Here are your expected starting goalies for tonight:

  • No lineup changes for the Senators, implying Pascal Leclaire gets the nod in goal writes the Official Twitter Page of the Ottawa Senators.
  • Seth Rorabaugh’s Empty Netters puts Tomas Vokoun in nets.  Still no confirmation on the Pittsburgh goalie as this game is the second of back-to-back contests.
  • Similar story in Chicago as both the Blackhawks and the Ducks played last night.  If past history is any indicator it will be Antti Niemi against Jean-Sebastien Giguere, but I will confirmed later with links hopefully.
  • Should have the starters for the Buffalo vs. Montreal as well as the Flyers goalie up shortly.

Daily Fantasy 3 Stars 12/08/2009

12/09/2009
Nashville Predators v Philadelphia Flyers

In this section, I break down the top three fantasy hockey performers every night and cite why I chose them in particular. In addition, I will track the amount of times the players have received this honor and tally them at the end of the season. For the sake of clarity, I will be using Yahoo! standard categories (Forwards – G,A,+/-, PP, PIM, SOG; Goalies – W, GAA, SV%, SHO) and thus exclude player’s salaries.

Another good night around hockey. We witnessed the Flyers win their first game under new coach Peter Laviolette as well as a breakout performance in Nashville. In addition, the Anaheim Ducks finally snapped their four game losing streak with help from goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere.

THIRD STAR: Daniel Briere, Philadelphia Flyers (0-1-1) – Briere played solid game helping his team route the Islanders 6-2. The diminutive forward assisted on two goals, one a powerplay marker by Jeff Carter. In fact, both assists came on Carter markers, showing solid chemistry with an elite fantasy player. In addition, the 33-year-old took three shots on goal, sat four minutes in the box and finished the night a plus one. An impressive effort in which he contributed over five offensive categories.

Goalie Starters & Injury Updates 12/06/2009

12/06/2009
New Jersey Devils v New York Rangers

This thread will be updated all day, so keep refreshing it as the day goes along. Here are your wounded bodies and expected starters for tonight:

New York Rangers

  • Henrik Lundqvist expected to start.
  • Same rangers team as last night. Meaning no Brandon Dubinsky, Donald Brashear or Wade Redden and Lundqvist confirmed. [Blue Notes]

Detroit Red Wings

Ottawa Senators

Anaheim Ducks

  • Going by the “you win, you’re in” tactics of coach Randy Carlyle I would expect Jean-Sebastien Giguere to start tonight.
