Slow day so not a lot of news going around the NHL today, so I will combine the goalie starters and injury updates.  My sincerest apologies for my absence this weekend, I was traveling between states and did not want to offer a lesser product than usual.  A small back story but I recently quit my job in order to write and maintain the site full-time.  I am full committed to writing about hockey all day and provide my readers with a good read.  By the next American holiday I should have more writers and thus not have a problem with the updates.

Here are your starters/injuries for tonight:

Anaheim Ducks:

  • Joffrey Lupul still not skating. [Ducks Blog]
  • Kyle Calder out 2-4 weeks. [Ducks Blog]
  • I’m assuming Jean-Sebastien Giguere starts tonight when you consider the streak he is on.  Giggy is 3-0 with a 1.30 GAA and .960 SV% in his last three starts.  Of course, we will have update if necessary.

Phoenix Coyotes:

  • Ilya Bryzgalov expected to start, per Dave Vest of Coyotes.com.
  • Vest also lists Peter Mueller and Ed Jovanovski as day-to-day.

San Jose Sharks:

IL: Vancouver Canucks v Chicago Blackhawks

Slow day again, I won’t be posting much today due to it being Thanksgiving.  Keep refreshing this thread all to for up-to-the minute updates, Happy Thanksgiving!

Columbus Blue Jackets:

  • Steve Mason starting against the Senators per Tom Reed of The Columbus Dispatch.  In a disappointing season, the Calder Trophy winner is 8-5-3 with a 3.59 GAA and .885 SV% in 17 games.

Ottawa Senators:

  • Brian Elliot starting.
  • Alexei Kovalev back in the lineup, Mike Fisher still hurt. [Ottawa Citizen]

Los Angeles Kings:

  • Andrei Loktionov officially out with a separated shoulder. [LA Kings Insider]
  • Top prospect Braydon Schenn makes his NHL debut.
  • Rob Scuderi and Jared Stoll still out with injuries.
  • Coach Terry Murray is undecided over whether to start backup Erik Ersberg or started Jon Quick.  The game is not until 10 PM EST so I will be back on post-Thanksgiving supper. [LA Times]

Vancouver Canucks:

  • Roberto Luongo expected to start according to this feature article by Gordon McIntyre of The Province.  The 30-year-old is 8-8-0 with one shutout, a 2.54 GAA and .908 SV%.
