  • Here is quote from a few days back addressing the starter controversy or lack there of in Chicago:
“Now, before Hawks fans start calling for Niemi to be the starter over Cristobal Huet, know that is not going to happen unless the veteran just doesn’t find his game at any point this season.”
It clearly looks like Huet is the starter and it will be specified with Niemi will get a look.  Click here for the full post.
  • Tarik El-Bashir confirms that Jose Theodore will make his third straight appearance here.

  1. Jimmy Recard says:

Thats awful – half your articles say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about who starts in goal.

    So wth?

    • Alexander Monaghan says:

      Hey Jimmy,

Thanks for being our first comment!

I understand your frustration with the links however I would like the readers to know where I am coming from when posting. A lot of times first thing in the morning or the night before the only thing written on the game is a game preview. I would say 99% of the site the goalie mentioned in the preview is the starter, as backups are usually mentioned in full when they get the nod.

I use every team’s beat writers to try to confirm every starter as well as checking every team’s website for an update. Sometimes the update does not come until later in the day. Until I am able to get more exposure and notoriety it is difficult to confirm all of this information with the actual teams.

So for right now consider this a resource in which I do all the research for you. I prefer to post the links so that my reader understand my rationale but it really is not a perfect science and probably never will be. I am not just listing every teams starters without links and changing them post game-time. Usually my projections are finished at this time.

      Thanks for reading,
      Alexander
